Additional Loan Request Form

This application is to be used by students who already have a Federal Direct Loan awarded to them and are requesting an additional loan amount due to the cancellation of aid, a PLUS denial, etc. This is not an application for the Federal Direct Loan program.  To apply for a Federal Direct Loan, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and complete the financial aid application process. 

This application is not used for Parent PLUS Loans, Graduate PLUS Loans, or any loans from private lenders. Please contact our office at 540-831-5408 for more information on options for these types of loans.

Once submitted, this form can take 5-7 business days to process.  Submitting this form does not guarantee that you will receive additional funds.  All students have a maximum amount of Federal Direct Loans that they are eligible to borrow per academic year.  Your request will only be processed if you have eligibility to receive additional funds.
